
Annapurna Region
Annapurna Region is one of the most popular trekking destinations of Nepal. It includes the Annapurna Range, the Dhaulagiri Range and the Kali-Gandaki River and its bank. Annapurna 1 Himal (8091m), Nilgiri Himal (7061m), Machapuchhare Himal (also known as Fishtail Mountain-6993m) and Dhaulagiri Himal (8167m) are the major attractions in the Annapurna region.
The starting and ending point for the Annapurna region is Pokhara, the city of lakes with the facilities of good hotels, resorts, bars and restaurants. Short adventure activities like paragliding, bungee jump, zipflyer, boating, short hikes to peace stupa, Australian Base camp, Ghandruk, Sarangkot with panoramic views of the snow covered mountains.
Annapurna Region is protected by the Annapurna Conservation Area that covers some the area of 7,629 sq. m. It is one of the famous conservation areas in Nepal with a varieties of flora and fauna. Annapurna region has some of the most rewarding, special and demanding trekking trails of Nepal: Poon Hill Trek, Annapurna Base Camp Trek, Annapurna Circuit Trek, Mardi Himal Trek, among others.

Annapurna Base Camp (ABC)
Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a unique experience for the adventurers. The trek trail is home to typical Gurung and Poon Magar ethnic groups who live a traditional life in beautiful villages including Ghandruk and Chhomrong. Their unique culture, languages, lifestyles and their “typical dress ups” in the background of Rhododendron forests will draw the attention of the trekkers. Poon Hill is the view point from where trekkers can see the majestic views of the Annapurna Range, the Dhaulagiri Range, the Machhapuchhre and the Manaslu region.

Annapurna Circuit Trek

Along the way, trekkers encounter stunning vistas, including the legendary Gangapurna Glacier and ancient monasteries that offer a glimpse into the region’s spiritual heart.
The Annapurna Circuit Trek is more than just a trek—it’s an experience that blends natural wonders, cultural immersion, and high-altitude adventure. Follow the footsteps of ancient traders on routes once connecting Nepal to Tibet, encounter rare wildlife, and connect with the local tribal communities that thrive in this rugged yet enchanting region. One of the trek’s spiritual highlights is a visit to Muktinath (3800m), a sacred site revered by Hindus and Buddhists alike.

Mardi Himal
Mardi Himal trek is a new trekking route. It is better to spend three days above the tree line of Mardi Himal amid the close views of Machhapuchhare Himal (the Fishtail Mountain). Trekkers can take the views of sunrises with sun bursting into the tips of Machhapuchhare Himal and the Annapurna Himal.
The trekkers can spend two nights at high camp (3,800m) acclimatizing and they can walk further up the ridge until they can see into the glacial basin between Macchapuchhare and Annapurna where Annapurna base camp is located. The Mardi Himal trek gives trekkers with the most amazing sense of having been right up on the roof of the world amongst some of its highest mountains.
